MEET KELLY BAETZ, PARTNER

Kelly Baetz, Esq. brings more than 20 years of experience in trust and estate planning, trust administration, elder law and planning, as well as in land use planning and administrative law matters.

Her clients include individuals, families, private companies, and state and local officials. Kelly’s experience deepens the capacity of this firm of five attorneys representing clients in Maine and beyond with real estate, family law, business and municipal law, probate, estate planning and U.S. immigration matters. Kelly’s impressive track record of success reflects her deep commitment to both responsiveness and effectiveness. Her trademark approach involves identifying and pursuing targeted strategies, that are tailored to the specific needs and situations of her clients including the personal impacts these issues have on themselves and their interactions with those around them. Prior to joining Gallagher, Villeneuve, and DeGeer, Kelly worked in Portland at McCandless & Coburn and Nelson-Reade Law Office, P.C.. She began her Maine law career in the Environmental Group at Verrill Dana, LLP, and was a Partner with the firm for eight years.

Already a Midcoast resident, Kelly lives in Bath with her husband and their young son. She and her family are lovingly and patiently restoring one of Bath’s historic homes. Kelly also loves to golf, ski, hike and explore the uninhabited islands of the Midcoast. She served for nine years as a Board Member of the Maine Island Trail Association and most recently served as a board member of Maine Behavioral Health. She also is an avid fan of all Cleveland, Ohio, sports teams (yes, especially the Browns). Kelly graduated with an A.B. in History and Environmental Studies from Bowdoin College (1996), and a J.D. (2000) and Master of Studies in Environmental Law (2001) from Vermont Law School. Kelly is admitted to practice in both Maine and Massachusetts.
